Hidden Images: the secret world of genetic disorders
Hidden Images is an exhibition that touches on the scientific origins of genetics whilst attempting to promote a deeper and wider understanding of the experience of living with or at risk of a genetic condition.
Working with poet Alyson Hallett we used the stories and experiences of people whose lives have been touched by genetic disorders to form the basis of the hidden image, the secrets that are rarely brought into the light.
"The synergies between the visual materials and the poetry, together with the health/hospital dimension were very powerful."
Ciara Eastell, Clore Fellow 2004/5 & Principal Assistant County Librarian, Somerset Cultural Service
Following a tour of the South West the exhibition now has a permanent home at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
