Bristol Creative Lab
The Bristol Creative Lab, commissioned and supported by Creative Partnerships Bristol, provided a stimulating environment to encourage imagination and creativity in learning. Based on a model developed in London by Professor Helen Storey, the Bristol Lab featured examples of my work that focus on the meeting place between the arts, science and health.
The Lab was an informal workshop space where experimentation, risk taking and collaboration were positively encouraged. INSET opportunities for both primary and secondary staff were also offered, particularly around cross-curricula collaboration.
Links were made with Helen Storey’s second Creative Lab hosted in Derby, including a presentation at the Sci/Art Symposium held at University of Derby in January 2007. A short film is available of the project.
